(This essay has special relevance for positive thinking agnostics and atheists – please keep an open mind and then there are some ideas presented for your consideration.)
God and Google see their world in a very similar way.
Do you know how Google works?
Google is a search engine, you ask it a question and it gives you the answer.
I created a web site called letsbuildabetterworld.uk and I wanted to optimise it so that when someone went on Google and searched for ‘How to build a better world?’ then my site would be top of Google’s search results.
So, I read around the subject.
Google works by finding relevance. So when someone asks ‘How to build a better world?’ Google searches all of its web pages and looks for items that are relevant to the question. So, my web page title for example and also within my web site relevant text – say key words and phrases. You could call it vertical relevance.
Our relationship with God is also about Vertical Relevance.
Sun Myung Moon says that in our world – which is primitive – God relates to mankind through Indirect Dominion.

Indirect Dominion

God does not dwell within people directly – like He did with Jesus – but God deals only with the vertical results of fallen man’s actions ie actions of faith.
Faith expressed through Indirect Dominion is the method God uses to relate to his children.
We should have Faith in truth, eg Christians emphasise the concept of keeping faith in the Bible and similarly other religions emphasise keeping faith in their holy truth. But FAITH is what they have in common.
So when a man succeeds or fails in an act of faith, God will respond to that accordingly and so then that man’s journey continues.
For God, you either succeed or fail in an act of faith ie a physical act which is inspired by faith in God ie an act of beauty or love (see later). This is the essence of man’s vertical relationship with God and it is how God deals with and sees man. It is a relationship of Indirect Dominion that is based on acts of faith, only. This is the principle of God’s relationship with man and it is totally independent, self-governing and autonomous just like the law of gravity. The law of Indirect Dominion is a spiritual law that defines our indirect relationship with God daily – God tends not to intervene directly. Man has complete free will and has to make a committed effort to make an act of faith.
A vertical relationship is a relationship between a man and God, whereas a horizontal relationship is a relationship between a man and another man. Vertical and horizontal relationships relate to each other as subject to object. God looks for vertical relevance within humanity, just like Google looks for vertical relevance within web sites.
We can see that in God’s vertical relationship with man God requires man to make actions of faith out of his own free will, we can call this a Condition.
God requires conditions to be made and God sees a man’s state of growth towards perfection in terms of his success or failure at having successfully made a vertical condition.
God is challenging all of us (including atheists) every day to make conditions so that we can increase our relationship with God and progress human destiny towards building an ideal world.
If we fail in a condition God will guide us towards reattempting the condition until we pass it. We are in effect halted in our vertical relationship with God until we successfully achieve the set condition. This is why human history and our personal lives can appear to repeat themselves.
This is equally true for people of faith and no faith.
Modern man can only accept a truth if it is logical.
Our world appears very confusing, so let me attempt to simplify this for you – and in particular how God sees us:-
As discussed in essay A, there are two types of faith: Way of Beauty (which specialises in Individual Purpose) and Way of Love (which specialises in the Purpose for Whole).

Way of Beauty

When God created man and woman they were created in his image and accordingly they were beautiful. When man fell (I’m assuming something went wrong with the process of creation of man), he became ugly because of sin. So, in order to become beautiful man has to recognise his sin and confess and repent, only then can he receive God’s love. This is the essential teaching of Christianity and it is valid.
This next section is important for you if you are an agnostic or atheist.
Sun says that a man’s mind can receive VITALITY ELEMENTS from his body which enables his spirit to grow.
This is a spiritual energy which the BODY gives to the MIND when there has been a good Way of Beauty condition.
This is also true for positive agnostics and atheists – when an atheist seeks to make his mind dominate his body say by exercising, playing a musical instrument or listening to uplifting music or watching an uplifting film – his body will automatically send Vitality Elements to his mind.
And a positive atheist is fully sensitive to this and he will actively seek out these Vitality Elements without actually understanding why.
In this way atheists, agnostics and people of faith are outwardly similar. They obey the same rule – ie to be beautiful and make their body subject to the control of their mind.
This leads to unity and harmony in our daily lives and a unified understanding and acknowledgement of approved behaviour on the streets of our cities even though one person can be an atheist and another is a religious person ie both types can behave beautifully.

Way of Love

Man can stand as the subject over God and give God love. So, if a fallen man makes a 100% effort and unconditionally gives his love to God, God can accept this as a pure offering and return love to him. For example, if a man makes an action for world peace God can love this man.
When a man makes a 100% sacrificial effort for a purpose bigger than his own personal life God can give a spiritual energy to that man’s mind. We call this energy LIFE ELEMENTS.
In the same way as a Way of Beauty faith when an atheist makes a Way of Love condition, he will receive a spiritual element given by God directly to his MIND. And an atheist is subconsciously sensitive to it and accordingly he will directly pursue the receipt of Life Elements in little ways like opening a door for a lady or in bigger ways such as pursuing a career in the police force.
All beings need energy to live.
Man can receive two types of energy – Vitality Elements which are given from his body to his mind and Life Elements which are given from God to the man’s mind. Actually, this is how an individual’s spirit grows in preparation for life in the spirit world after death.
Man subconsciously seeks to make acts of faith because he knows that when he fulfils a beautiful or loving condition he feels good.
So, there are these two ways of having faith in God:-
They relate as object to subject or feminine and masculine and they follow very, very different principles in the same way that women and men are complementary but very, very different.
To grow to perfection an individual has to become expert in both types of faith ie Way of Beauty and Way of Love. So, an individual is required to learn about beauty from a Way of Beauty faith such as Christianity and love from a Way of Love type faith such as Islam. There are many different faiths in the world but I will argue that all faiths teach either about beauty or love or some combination of the two.
Actually there are many secular ways to learn about beauty – such as physical exercise, listening to uplifting music or even going to college and enjoying the pursuit of knowledge. And there are many ways to learn about the Way of Love type faith such as giving money to charities, engaging in voluntary work or choosing a career which offers a public service like being a doctor, a police officer or a teacher etc.
When an individual becomes expert in both these types of faith he will achieve perfection and a state of divinity. But we need to be expert in both in order to grow to perfection. It comes back to this idea that all of creation is expressed in terms of a duality ie give and take action between an object and subject aspect.
A tree, grows from it’s root. Accordingly, the most natural way for an individual to grow is from the root ie the Way of Beauty. But, in this fallen world, many individuals become expert in the Way of Love first.

How does Satan get his energy to live?

When Lucifer fell and became Satan he lost the right to receive Life Elements directly from God. Also, Satan has no physical body so he cannot receive Vitality Elements from a physical body. So where does he get his energy to live – he can’t get it from God and he has no body?
Satan gets his energy to live by stealing Vitality Elements from Fallen Man by standing as their invisible, internal subject when they sin by having acts of excess sexual desire and other sinful acts.
Satan will lose all energy to live and will be defeated when all men become good and stops sinning.
By understanding God’s vertical relationship with man we can understand how God and men think ie how they work in terms of prioritising their decision processes daily. Through understanding individual’s different kinds of faith we can analyse and characterise them, which is very useful.

Two Types of Spirit

So obviously there are two types of truth for these two different faiths – beauty and love. Spirit is the subject of truth. So there are in fact two types of spiritual element that the mind can receive from these two different types of faith ie Vitality Elements and Life Elements.
I’ll make a grand statement:-
Everyone on the earth is sensitive to these two types of spirit elements, even if they have no formal belief in God. They are sensitive in the sense of a subconscious intuition. They get a good feeling when they please God and receive a spirit element and a bad one when they sin.
Even secular people have a conscience that directs them towards goodness.
So, what I am saying people who have no formal belief or faith are still living a life that will give them good spirit elements and that they are subconsciously aware of this and they will directly seek this out. So, this means that the norms of society ie being beautiful and or loving are the same for people of faith and also for positive thinking atheists which consequently leads to a harmonious society which we see everyday on our streets and in the workplace. All responsible individuals within society are either beautiful or loving or a combination of both – we see this in the employment market etc.
For people who actually have a living faith they do not only receive these spiritual elements but they also directly receive the two aspects of the Holy Spirit. These are the Everlasting Water and Holy Air that is discussed in the previous essay – Part B.
Spiritual elements and the Holy Spirit obey parallel laws and relate to each other as Object to Subject.

The Faiths in the World

There are several major faiths in the world and they have their own teachings which are complementary but different. But all of them have a purpose for goodness and all are valid.
Not long ago I started an Alpha course with a Christian Church. They taught that we must recognise our sin and confess and repent and then we will receive the Holy Spirit – which is a direct application of the Way of Beauty type faith.
Islam has emphasis on love and compassion for our fellow man and is a Way of Love type faith.

A Living Faith

People who follow these religions have a direct experience of a Living Faith – ie receiving the Holy Spirit and Spirit Elements in accordance with the type of faith that they follow.
If you study a formal religion they all emphasise this concept of a Living Faith. God teaches through all religions this idea that we can have a Living Faith and a relationship with him although limited to the restriction of Indirect Dominion.
Because man is in the period of indirect dominion his only relationship with God is through his own limited and particular kind of faith. This can lead to narrow mindedness and ultimately conflict, because a man who experiences a faith based on beauty is ignorant of the spiritual reality of a faith based on love. This explains the conflict between Christianity and Islam when tolerance breaks down.

Understanding the Differences Between Different Living Faiths

If we are aware that there are these two types of faith (beauty and love) we can understand their differences and unite them. To grow to perfection we need to become expert in both beauty and love type faiths. Because Christianity is a beauty type faith and Islam is love type faith we need to learn from both of these faiths together to grow to perfection. Actually, Christianity and Islam should never come into conflict because we need to grow through both beauty and love to achieve perfection ie we need embrace both faiths. This concept has huge foreign affairs implications for uniting all peoples of the world even though they have different traditions and cultures.
This can also clearly explain the difference between good and evil.
There are millions if not billions of people on earth who practice a Living Faith – different Living Faiths. If we can explain their differences we have the key to uniting people of faith and take a step towards building a better world.

Tunnel Vision

This is discussed in detail in Essay B. Because of the principle of Indirect Dominion it is possible for an individual who has discovered the way to receive Vitality Elements to then specialise in that behaviour only. Because he can falsely conclude that he has discovered the absolutely correct way to live ie by being beautiful. And of course, it is the same for an individual who has discovered the way to receive Life Elements – he can conclude that he discovered the True way of Life. Both are wrong. There are two ways to be good which are the Way of Beauty and the Way of Love which inter-relate through give and take action. Actually, to grow to perfection we need to become expert at both beauty and love.

Totalitarianism – Democracy and Indirect Dominion

Because of the law of Indirect Dominion – when a philosophy or religion has discovered either the Way of Beauty or Way of Love method to receive Vitality Elements they can consider that they have discovered something good and valuable. But, they can then consider that to build a perfect world everyone must conform to that view – ie they can become a totalitarianist philosophy. This can happen because we are in the stage of Indirect Dominion. It is an incorrect view – there are two ways to receive Spiritual Elements and we need both united together by give and take action with freedom at the centre. In the modern world we can see Russia (under Putin) specialising in beauty and beauty alone and we can also see the opposite extreme of China specialising in love and love alone. This specialisation or totalitarianism is incorrect. This phenomenon can happen in modern day religions too. God values freedom of the individual more than life and you can see this in the world wars, for example.

Lets take the Jewish nation as an example:-

I am not saying the Jewish establishment of Israel in Palestine is correct – but can you say that Jews have no faith and are not people of principle? Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Barbra Streisand and Carole King are all humble and highly talented people in the heights of our musical culture world-wide.
So, I am going to argue that the Jewish people have a great deal of faith – but perhaps a faith that could be called an early stage faith meant for fallen man during the Old Testament era.
At present there is a huge upset between the Jews and Palestinians and the wider Muslim community that might be resolved by a violent conflict. The Muslim people’s also have a strong faith – but it is of a different characteristic to the Jewish faith.
Just for the sake of argument let us call Jews Way of Beauty types (that receive Vitality Elements) and Muslims Way of Love types (that receive Life Elements). Instead of violence between the faiths – what if we can understand their differences and unify them?
We can say to both groups – you both have faith – the Jews are beautiful and the Muslims are loving. We don’t have to refer to the ancients texts to define their faiths because we can understand the true meaning of these texts by looking at them simply from the point of view of the purpose, ie the purpose that God had for each of the traditions. God called each faith with a specific mission for it’s era. So, the Torah has a purpose to teach people how to be beautiful and how to receive Vitality Elements and the Koran has a purpose to teach people how to be loving and receive Life Elements. Going back to the tree analogy the deeply-rooted Jewish faith corresponds to the root whereas the loving Muslim faith corresponds to the bough. Because traditionally we have been in the period of Indirect Dominion specialisation and totalitarianism can occur – but now we are entering a new era where man is ready to hear the truth directly. In the past man has been too ignorant and sinful to hear the simple truth.
Therefore we can say that Jews receive Vitality Elements and Muslims receive Life Elements. We can understand that both views are valid but different and also that to grow to perfection we need to embrace both views equally. It’s not an easy or natural thing for a way of beauty individual to understand a way of love individual – but I have explained the theory here and it does clearly explain how faiths can be different but also be valid. The truth will set you free.

IN CONCLUSION

This research and theory explains how to understand anyone from any faith background and not only this but how to also understand positive thinking atheists. This theory only makes 3 fundamental assumptions and progresses it’s arguments logically. Some of these ideas are new and in effect it is describing a new development in the world of science that can go on to describe a new form of engineering.
By defining how different faiths are expressed it is possible to explain them and to unite them. There are massive implications for any national government’s foreign and domestic policies.
