Part B - An Anology
This essay is aimed at people of a Living Faith who have had a direct experience of the Holy Spirit.
If you are an atheist, or if you have not yet achieved a Living Faith you might want to read this essay academically. Unfortunately, I do have to quote the New Testament because it explains certain spiritual concepts more clearly – I apologise for this.
INDIRECT DOMINION:-

Jesus had direct dominion with God ie God dwelt directly within him. But, because fallen man is so primitive, God relates to fallen man through Indirect Dominion.
This means that God only deals with a fallen man’s vertical acts of faith. We are all on a journey to Direct Dominion but first we have to grow through the period of Indirect Dominion. This means we have to succeed in making good actions ie actions of faith, out of our own free will. God only deals with us on the basis of our success or failure at making vertical conditions ie acts of faith. This principle is totally self-governing and autonomous and operates just like a law of physics eg similar to the law of gravity. If you can understand this concept you will understand how God views fallen man and the blind reality we experience in our daily lives.

The Tree Analogy:-

God created man in his image ie man is the IMAGE of God.
God is a creator eg he created man. So God stands as the invisible, internal subject to man. Man is the image of God.
God is a creator – so if man is to be the image of God, man must be a creator also, Ok? So, God created the creation in the IMAGE OF MAN, and God intends that when any man or woman has perfected their character they are then in the position of creator ie Lord of Creation over all nature – animal, plant and mineral aspects. The creation we know (nature) is not the creation God originally intended – it is a fallen creation which obeys the selfish principle of survival of the fittest. There is a higher order of creation which we have never seen which was lost when man fell. It is God’s plan that perfect man will stand in the position of creator over TRUE nature.
This is because true nature stands as the IMAGE of man and also the SYMBOLIC IMAGE of God.
Man has to earn the right to stand as Lord over the creation by perfecting his character out of his own free will and then he will rule the creation through his sacrificial love. When this happens a perfected man will stand in the position of creator over nature, so man will then be in the position of being a creator – just like God. Actually you can see this principle in action when a man takes and animal as a pet. Animals respond directly to the love of man.
So, I want to explain this because I want to express the view that A Tree is symbolically a representation of man. Jesus compared himself to a tree.

Now – I am schizophrenic and I am spiritually open. I have intermittently experienced both aspects of the Holy Spirit directly as explained below:-

The following section deals with the Holy Spirit and it does quote Jesus and his description of this. But, if you have never experienced the Holy Spirit or if you are not Christian you can safely ignore it and go to essay C.

There are many people of all faiths that have an experience of the Holy Spirit. One thing all religions have in common is the concept of a Living Faith. This essay is aimed at this group.
A tree has roots which take in water and food and a bough (leaves and branches) which take in sunlight and air. A tree needs these elements to live.
So, I am going to make the argument that there are two types of Holy Spirit. One like water and one like air.
In the Bible Jesus talks of the water that we will drink that is everlasting – he compares it to the Holy Spirit.
Water in a tree comes from below and it comes through narrow roots. I compare this to the Holy Spirit that relates to Beauty and Individual Purpose. It is narrow and focused and it comes from below. I call such people Deeply-rooted types. We are all familiar with dealing with people which we can call deeply-rooted – Frank Sinatra is an excellent example.
The leaves of a tree receive sunlight (light is often compared to truth) and they receive air. I will say air is like love.
In the Bible it describes how after his death Jesus returned to his followers and breathed the Holy Spirit into them.
The bough of a tree is large and broad and reaches up to the huge sky. I say there is a Holy Spirit which is symbolic of air which comes from above and it is related to the mind and the purpose for whole. I call this type of person High-minded. We can all think of high-minded types of people – most Orientals are an example.
So, there are two different types of Holy Spirit – which consequently lead to different and divergent religions
So, why am I trying to explain all this? There are different religions is the world and they emphasise different truths. We have already looked at Christianity which emphasises the Way of Beauty and consequently a Water Type of Holy Spirit that comes through a root below.
But there are other religions which have a different emphasis, ie compassion and love for our fellow man, I would put true Islam in this category. I will say that these religions have a Way of Love type of Holy Spirit which is like air from above. It’s a different kind of Holy Spirit which operates according to different principles, but it is no less valid than the water type.
You can compare them to femininity and masculinity ie different but complementary aspects of being a human. Please note that it is very difficult for women to understand men and visa versa. Accordingly, it is extremely difficult for an individual who has a faith based upon beauty to understand a faith based on love – it’s extremely difficult. This is symbolically represented by the inability of air and water to unite – they do not mix.
So this leads to two different kinds of spiritually open people, the way of beauty type are deeply-rooted and the way of love type are high-minded. When an individual discovers a way to God he can get direct confirmation of his faith from God and then he can believe that he has discovered the one and only way to relate to God. This can happen because man is in the Indirect Dominion stage of his life of faith. This is a mistake because to to grow to perfection an individual has to become EXPERT AT BOTH types of faith.
If you accept the idea that Christians are beautiful and Muslims are loving then you could argue that these two religions should never conflict with each other because WE NEED TO EMBRACE BOTH EQUALLY – understand? This simple idea can dissipate Christian/Muslim conflict and open the possibility to permanently and completely unite them which has huge implications for world foreign policy.
So, all of this variety is confusing for imperfect people who are in the period of Indirect Dominion (ie God deals only with their actions) and it can lead to conflict:-
You can also see this problem by looking at individuals who have a relationship with the Holy Spirit. If a Christian discovers the Water Type Holy Spirit it convinces him that he has discovered the true way to God – it confirms his faith. But then he can go on to assert that his way of faith is the only way of faith and that everyone must be made to follow it.
And similarly for individuals who specialise in the Way of Love type of faith, they can experience an Air Type Holy Spirit and they can assume it is the only way to relate to God and everyone in the world must conform to this view.
This assumption is a mistake because there is not one type of faith but two involved in a relationship of give and take action between them, understand? But because man is in the period of indirect dominion and because this period is totally self-governing and autonomous (just like a law of physics) – this mistake can happen.
That’s what I am trying to explain.
God is not singular, but a duality of Love and Beauty united by a dynamic Give and Take Action between them – so, there are two ways to relate to God and we have to become expert in both.
Whilst man is in the phase of indirect dominion in his relation with God he only has a partial understanding of both types of Holy Spirit. Man will only perfect himself when he has fully grown through receiving both types of Holy Spirit and become an expert in beauty and love.
Empty vessel:-
If you take a specialised Way of Beauty type, they can have excellent mind over body unity but can have little love and compassion. Because beauty pertains to form they can have the form of a beautiful vessel but with no love within it. Jesus talked of the Pharisees in these terms, ‘they were empty sepulchres’.
If you take a specialised Way of Love type they are directly obedient to God’s mind and they have true love but they have no concept of the value of beauty. They have no absolute sense of values because they don’t have that deep root that pertains to beauty. They have no sincere understanding of beauty.
The importance of having a strong and equal foundation of both a beauty and love based faith can be seen if we look at the human body. An individual walks on two legs, also we have two arms, two eyes, two ears etc. The fact that we need two strong spiritual foundations is represented symbolically, by having, and walking on 2 legs. We need an equal and strong foundation of both beauty and love based faith in the same way that we need two strong legs to walk. Usually one leg is stronger than another, this is symbolic that love is dominant over beauty.
You can see when you meet an individual who specialises in one type of faith that they can be really fighting to maintain their faith – really struggling. This is just like an individual trying to stand on one leg and then pushing their muscles harder and harder to keep their balance. We need both types of faith equally ie beauty and love, so that we can stand on both legs – in balance. But, it’s a leap of faith for a beauty type person to reach out and embrace a person of a love type faith. Also, Satan will do everything to prevent them from learning this secret.
Let’s examine this idea further:-
It is the destiny of every fallen man to grow through the period of Indirect Dominion to perfection. So we all have to establish a life of faith based on both beauty and love. But what tends to happen is that an individual discovers a life of faith based on, for example, beauty alone. He can then understand that this life of faith has brought him into a relationship with God and then he can assume that this is the one and only way to relate to God. This is incorrect.
Satan will do anything to prevent an individual who has say discovered the way of beauty type faith from going on to discover the way of love type faith – because such an individual will go on to grow to perfection and then Satan’s rule will end. Satan is very afraid of this.
So, when a way of beauty individual is on the verge of discovering the way of love type faith – Satan will give that individual paranoid fears, very strongly! So, what happens is that that individual can then reject a way of love type faith and even hate it as something evil.
Another technique Satan uses is – if a person has a way of beauty type faith (which specialises in purity and beauty) Satan can say that individual’s with a way of love type faith (who have access to sex as an expression of their love) are dirty and unprincipled.
So, a way of beauty specialist can see a way of love specialist as being not pure. Similarly, a way of love specialist can see a way of beauty specialist as being selfish.
This is Satan doing this to prevent us from developing both types of faith and achieving perfection.
