Today it is Tuesday 2nd September 2025.
When I was 16 (in 1976) I saw TV news reports of famines in Africa and I was so moved by this that I decided try to help. When I speculated ‘why isn’t the world perfect?’ I realised that it was because individuals do not grow to perfection, so I determined to use my life to understand why. At that time I was the top science student in school and because we live in the modern scientific era I resolved to follow the scientific method
So, the problem was ignorance i.e. how can we do that? I’ve been on quite a journey since then and now at the age of 65 I think that I have many of the answers. Because I have tried to follow the scientific method this essay is accessible to scientists, atheists and people of faith from any background anywhere around the world. When I began this journey the first step was to solve the problem and now I am ready to publish. Enjoy the essay.

It is interesting to see from my life story how these ideas evolved and developed and this is explained in the text written autobiography under the Menu Heading ‘Autobiog’. The New Science Essays are important and if you have a living faith they are easier to read, but the most important essay is the last one called ‘From an Atheist Point of View’. It is important because it avoids making any assumptions such as a belief in God or reference any religious figure like Muhammad or Jesus etc and it does not refer to any holy book. Accordingly this essay can be studied by atheists, scientists, engineers and educated individuals from any faith background. This essay unites faith, science and politics. Additionally, this essay describes and defines the different types of faith and accordingly explains how it is possible to simply unite them.
